I was born and raised and still
live in one of those "blink you eye
and you’ll miss it towns," Lenoir
North Carolina. My dad Ken got me into
Drag Racing when I was around four or
five year’s old. Almost every Saturday
night you would see my dad and me
setting on the banks of Hudson Drag
Strip. Sadly Hudson Drag Strip closed
in the mid 1990's and it remains
closed to this day. Every so often I
still find myself driving by the track
telling my wife and children about the
good ol’ days. I’ve always enjoyed
taking photos of the race cars and I
guess that’s why
I still do it.
I’m a dad now too, and I have two
children. My son Matthew, age seven
and my daughter Haven who is getting
ready to turn two. My son Matthew
enjoys taking photos of the race cars
just like me. One the things that I
enjoy the most is watching my son’s
face when he is out there taking
photos, he always runs to me and says,
daddy look. Usually when you see me at
the Drag Strip you’ll see not my son
but my dad, my wife and my daughter
are usually right there with me. I’ve
made a ton of friends at the race
tracks, more than I ever thought that
I would. I really that the race teams
and track owners are happy with the
job that I do, I haven’t heard
anything bad so far in the three years
that I have been doing this.
Now I find myself wearing a RPM
Magazine and I couldn’t be happier.
RPM is by far the best publication of
a Drag Racing Magazine that you can
get. We are the only real time
Magazine in the market. RPM is the
voice of the Stars and Cars of
Heads-up and Outlaw Drag Racing World
wide. We bring you no Politics, no
Strings, Just Action. Just like our
Editor Chris Biro says, "We Innovate,
not Imitate."
